With its electronic precision, detailed menu, and intelligent system of signals, this Maverick thermometer/timer leaves other kitchen temperature takers in the dust. Designed for remote use with ovens, barbecues and smokers, the unit comes with a stainless-steel probe on a detachable 42-inch heat-resistant wire to monitor both meat and grill cooking temperatures.
Simple to program, or use one of nine pre-programed settings, the units large LCD monitor is easy to read and shows alert and current temperatures, doneness level, meat category, and cooking time. Using three distinct auditory signals, the device can be set to send alerts when food is nearly done, done, or overdone.
Other handy features include a 20-hour up/down timer, memory recall, quick start/quick stop timer button, and a simple Celsius/Fahrenheit switch. The unit can be made to stand up, hang, or attach by magnets and runs on a single AAA battery.
